  I love The Local, I do wish that they had not changed the name from Applejack's. Applejack's was a landmark, but the food is much better now. This place is great if you like live music, they have it every night. I don't like live music, but I come here anyway.

  This is the kind of bar that I like. Small, cozy, in the half underground stone cellar of an old building on the banks of the Delaware River. A band was playing music from the 70's when I walked in, sounding awesome. Lots of beer on tap and good eats, The server was the best. No sign out front so you have to know its there to find it so it feels like a real hideaway.
